HCSK had organized a trip cum an educational tour for the Staff to learn and to
         Educational Tour                 unveil the natural charms, beauty, rich cultural heritage of  Darjeeling.

            to Darjeeling:
                                          Darjeeling has been a popular destination for tourists and tea enthusiastic.
        A journey to the Queen of Hills   Likewise, HCSK had taken a captivating journey to the enchanting town, to
                                          explore the stunning landscape, views and its vibrant culture for a week. It had
                                          been a wonderful and unforgettable experience.


                                          The journey began on 25th August, 2024, Sunday afternoon. We boarded the
                                          Train to NJP from KGT Station. We reached our first destination the next
                                          morning. As we stepped off the train at NJP, the excitement was palpable

                                          (tangible). After taking rest for about an hour we set off to our next destination
                                          to visit the popular and famous Hong Kong market in Siliguri. After exploring
                                          and strolling through the market, we finally were ready to get to our final
                                          destination where we would be staying there for the next 5 days.

               Merry Debbarma             After  an  hour  or  two,  we  reached  Don  Bosco  Salesian  College  (SCS),  an

                                          Autonomous  area  @  Sonada.  The  warm  welcome  and  hospitality,  the
                                          environment created for us gave us a homely feeling. For the next 3 days, some
      of the places we visited are:
         1.  Ghoom Monastery: A serene Tibetan monastery.
         2.  Batasia loop: A scenic view point offering panoramic view.
         3.  Darjeeling Tea garden:  World's finest Tea, we strolled through the lush gardens.
         4.  RKM: Education and cultural Centre located in Roy villa.
         5.  Tenzing Rock (HMI) : This rock named after the legendary Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, the first to reach
             summit of Mt Everest.
         6.  Peace Pagoda: A Japanese temple
         7.  Nightingale Park: A lovely public park to hang out and see views.
         8.  Chow Rasta: A four road meet located in the heart city of  Darjeeling.
         9.  Intake River: Intake named after which water is supplied to the water scarcity place in Sonada area.


      On our way back we visited Indo-Nepal border, Mirik lakes, Kanchenjunga view point.


      On 31st we reached back home. It was a wonderful and magical experience overall. Whether you're a nature
      enthusiastic, culture or tea lover, Darjeeling has something for everyone.
