                                                                                                                                                                                   Sr. Lahunsuklang Marwein FS

“GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST AND ON EARTH PEACE TO THOSE ON WHOM HIS FAVOUR REST”
                                                                                                                                     - Luke 2:14
Christmas is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Christians on 25th December every year worldwide. It is a festival of joy and

happiness which commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Yearly we long for the month of December to come, during this time people brightly
light up their homes and churches symbolising Christ who triumphed over the darkness of sin and spread light in the world. Christmas is

celebrated with the spirit of unity and also helping the poor and needy. During Christmas churches, religious communities, institutions and
families all prepare the Christmas crib and decorate their houses and surroundings. Thus the great love of God for humanity is celebrated and the

birth of Jesus in the poorest living condition is recalled. Gifts distribution is an important Christmas tradition followed throughout the world. The
celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ is the most tangible manifestation of how much God loves every one, the bad and the good, the sinners or

saints among us. He shared to us His only begotten son as the sacrificial lamb.

During this season of love, joy and peace, let us look into our hearts and be generous towards the poor people. Therefore let us spread and
shower the spirit of loving, sharing and forgiving. For this reason the birth of Jesus Christ and least we forget the virtue of humbleness which

Jesus showed us by being born amidst the shepherds and animals in a manger.

So, let us welcome Him with an open minds and an open hearts. Let us pray to Him to fill our minds with His light and truth, also to fill our hearts

with His love, peace and joy, so that we may share the same peace and joy to all the people around. May Baby Jesus give us abundant blessings
on Christmas day and the days to come.

       Happy New Year 2023
