Examination evaluates the students' ability of learning. It is an effective
way to analyze the knowledge of students. Exam is the most important
part of developing the students' intellectual and help them gain more
Exam Cell Report knowledge. Holy Cross School Kumarghat conducts four exams in every
session. In this session (2022-23) also four exams will be conducted.
Nursery to class VIII will have PT-I, Half-yearly, PT-II and Annual
exam. Classes IX and X will have PT-I , PT-II , PT-III and final exam. For
class X, one or two Pre- Board Exams also will be conducted before the
Board Exam, in order to prepare them and keep them ready for the Board
Exam.

PT-I Exam for classes Nursery to class-X was conducted from 13 June

All the processing works for PT-I and Half -Yearly Exams were carried
out by the Exam committee with the help of the faculty members. Exam
Committee is a body which is authorized by the Principal to conduct examinations and make policy decisions
with regard to organizing and holding examinations, improving system of examinations, seating
arrangements and also preparing the schedule of examinations. Exam Committee deals with all the matters
with relation to any kinds of examination.

Exam Committee conducts Pre-Exam meeting along with the headmistress with regard to smooth
conducting of examinations, submission of Question Papers, Invigilation Duty Chart, seating plan,
attendance record, evaluation of answer sheets, preparing Report Card and declaration of result.During the
meeting, the Exam Committee makes sure that all stationeries like exam papers, drawing sheet, graphs,
maps, threads etc are available. Exam Committee sees that the timetable of the Exam Schedule provided by
Holy Cross Education Foundation (HCEF) is excuted. Subject teachers prepares two sets of question paper
for each exam. First Pre-Board exam will be conducted from 16/01/2023 to 29/01/2023 for class- X.

Exams are conducted to assess the performance of the students in between the session. It is based on a
combination of theory exam, internal assessment and practical assessment. The goal of every exam is to
evaluate the students. We show the answer sheet of primary and pre primary students to their parents and
higher classes answer sheet to the students in the class. Report card for every exam is given to the parents.
After every exam, exam committee submits a report to the principal. Exam committee keeps the records of
each issue related to the examination.
