“Ave Crux, Spes Unica” – “Hail the Cross, Our Only Hope” is the
Holy Cross Feast Day Celebration motto of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is celebrated on September 15, which
is the most important feast day for the congregation of Holy Cross
Fathers, Brothers, and Sisters throughout the world. Blessed Basil
Moreau placed the entire Holy Cross family under the patronage of
“Our Lady of Sorrows”. It was our privilege to celebrate Holy Cross
Feast on 14th September 2022 in our school. Students and teachers
gathered in front of the school to join the celebration. The program
began by lighting of the lamp and cutting a ribbon by Fr. Abraham
CSC, the Parish Priest of Kathalcherra who was the chief guest of the
day. To commemorate the special occasion, Fr. Abraham unveiled the
portrait of Blessed Basil Anthony Mary Moreau and the image of Jesus
Christ. We also had a beautiful Festal Song to wish our fathers by
students of V and VI. Fr. Abraham gave a short message about the
congregation of Holy Cross and its missions in South and Northeast
India especially in the field of Education. A short session was organized
for the students in which Holy Cross and its Vision, Mission and the
Holy Cross way of Education was addressed to them. After which Class
IV to VII students took part in Quiz Competition which was conducted
by Sir Apu Kumar Roy and his team
based on the session’s input. Sweets and
snacks were distributed to the students
and staff and thus we had a meaningful
Feast Day Celebration of the Holy Cross
at the school level.
