Holý Cross School, kumarghat observèd 76th IndependènceDay i.e Ajadika Amrit
76th Independence Day Celebrations Mahutsab from 13th August to 15th August 2022. On 13th Aug, school observed the day
with Primary Students in school courtyard at 8 am. All students were with colourful paper
made flag. In presence of Principal and staffs, Mrs.Chawimawii hoisted the National Flag.
Cultural committee conducted patriotic group dance and songs. On 2nd day all teaching
staffs and non-teaching staffs observed the day in school. Finally, on 15th Aug we observed
the Independence Day in large scale. All the students and staffs were gathered in the school
courtyard at 7.30 am. As Chiefguest, Rev. Fr. Ĺancy D’ Souza CSC, as guest of honour Sr.
Bastian FS, Mr Dipen Choudury were present there. SPL Subhamit Deb conducted
morning prayer and assembly and soon after that, Chief Guest hoisted the Tricolor
National Flag followed by saluting and National Anthem. Students performed patriotic
group songs. Chief guest Rev.Fr. Lancy delivered his speech on the importance of
Independence Day and also welcomed and appreciated the motto of Govt." Har Ghar
Tiranga". After finishing the programme, school authority distributed sweets amongst all.
Variety cultural entertainment at school and at Kumarghat SDM level and colourful
decorations, meaningful speeches, prize distributions made this year’s Independence Day
celebrations a remarkable and memorable event. As per the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’
campaign which isa part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by Government of India, to
encourage people to bring the Indian flag home and hoist it, our students did honour the
national flag at home and shared the photos to the class teacher.
‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ Exhibition: On
14th August, we had an exhibition with the theme
‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’, as per the
guidance of CBSE Board. It was an opportunity for the
students to learn the sufferings of the partition that
affected the people of that time.
