Principal's Message
I really feel privileged to serve as the Principal of Holy Cross School,
Pabiacherra, Kumarghat. I Thank God for all graces and learning He has
bestowed on me in doing this ministry of education. I am grateful to the support
and guidance of all the members of Holy Cross Education Foundation. I would
like to bold, underline and highlight the support of the School Manager,
Headmistress, Supervisor, P.R.O., Teaching and Supporting Staffs, SMC and
Parents who encourage me and work with me for the bright future of the
students and the growth of the school. The D.EO., and other education offices
around us are a great guide and support to us. Our students are very talented,
energetic in their learning, creative, disciplined, regular, hardworking and
humble to correct their mistakes and grow.
I am greatly enthused by the commitment shown by the staff at different levels.
Not only they give their best in teaching the students with their syllabus but also
accompany them at all possible levels. ‘Teachers are a Second Parent’ is not a
mere sentence here, as I do witness it in the life of our Teachers and Students.
They are growing together.
Surely, a school plays a crucial role in shaping a child’s future. Not only in
educating the students also in moulding their character, morals, and value
system which is part of our providing Holy Cross Way of Education, the way of
our Founder Blessed Basil Moreau.
Golden words of Malala Yousafzai is “They cannot stop me. I will get my
education, if it is in the home, school, or anyplace.” Whatever activities that we
do, with the support of the Staff and Parents the student is ready to learn. This
school newsletter, ‘My School Voice’ is an apt expression of it. As this quarterly
issue gets ignited to launch, I congratulate the Chief Editor Smt. Lalnunsangi
Lushai and her team for their hard work and good efforts. Thanks to all those
who contribute through their writings. A special word of thanks to all the
students who had spoken from their heart in their few lines. Best Wishes to all!

As the headmistress of Holy Cross School, Pabiacherra,
Kumarghat, I extend all of you my cordial greetings.
Enlightenment can be achieved only by educating both the mind
as well as the heart. Education of the mind sharpens our
academic performances while educating the heart helps us in
holistic development. Education which includes on both the
dimensions (heart & mind) makes an individual not only
intellectually sound but also socially productive.
Technology is changing at a rapid pace and that means we as
Educators have a great task to adapt to the rapid changes in the
society and respond flexibly to the extraordinary challenges.
As dedicated and highly motivated team of Holy Cross, we focus
on to keep up with advances in technology, stay updated about
new informations, and make the learning process active. We
also promote a high level of leaners’, who are capable of doing
new things, learners who have a thirst for discovery and
knowledge. We aspire to provide a creative environment for the
children to grow, learn and expose oneself to several aspect of
life.
We believe that in establishing healthy Parent-Teacher
relationship, we will continue to make learning joyful and help
the students to flourish long-term success.
I take this opportunity to congratulate the team of MY SCHOOL
VOICE for bringing out the newsletter with updates about news,
events and achievements of the school and to give a good
platform for the students to present their creative talents.
