In-house In the ever-evolving landscape of education, the role of teachers remains paramount in
shaping young minds and fostering a conducive learning environment. Recognizing this,
Training Sessions Holy Cross School, Pabiacherra, Kumarghat, conducted an in-house training session for

the teachers on 27th April,2024 to equip the educators with necessary skills and
for the Teachers knowledge to excel in their profession. The session was divided into three segments

which included - Characteristics of a Good Teacher, Setting Question Paper and Using of
Smart Class.

The first part of the session started with the characteristics of a good teacher where
Fr. J Sahaya Lourdu Raj, Principal, Holy Cross School, Kumarghat discussed about the
main 25 features of a good teacher. And also said that a hallmark of effective teaching lies
not only in imparting knowledge but also in embodying good characteristics that inspires
and empower students.

The second segment of the session which was the practical session regarding the art of
Mr. Sanjoy Singha setting question paper. In this practical session Fr. J Sahaya Lourdu Raj discussed in
details that what are the major steps to be followed during preparing the question paper
like font size, line alignment, numbering the questions, using of format painter etc.

The last part of the session, was about the using of smart class which was handled by Sir John, Office Staff, Holy Cross
School, Kumarghat. At the beginning of this session, Sir John discussed about today's digital age where technology plays a

pivotal role in transforming traditional classroom into dynamic learning environments. After that, Sir John showed the
teachers how to connect projector via laptop. He also showed us in practical regarding the connection of mobile phones or
laptop to Smart TV which could be used by the teachers to make the class creative and interesting.

As Holy Cross School, Kumarghat continues to prioritize
professional development, the impact of in-house training
sessions for the teachers will undoubtedly contribute to the
advancement of educational excellence. I on behalf of the staff,
extends my heartfelt gratitude to our Principal, Fr. J Sahaya
Lourdu Raj for his great contributions to the betterment of the
school and for his continuous backup to the teachers for the

smooth running of the school.
