On 14th November 2022, on the occasion of Children’s Day, I along with two teachers and students from our school went to the Avenanda Ashram ,Kumarghat.

OUTREACH PROGRAM: This Ashram is an Orphanage Home where many children live. This year our school planned something different in honor of Children’s Day. As an outdoor activity as
well as to share our love, joy and happiness with the Orphanage Home we visited them. Our School Students performed some program like dances, songs and at the
Visit to an end with the orphan children performed together a group song. We shared our love and joy by giving them sweets, some used dresses, fruits and later on few new

orphanage home sweaters for this winter season. The main objective of this activity was to build in our students a sense of responsibility for the society and also to be always ready to
help those in need. It was a wonderful experience to see our students actively taking part and also interacting with the orphan children and sharing their love and
concern. I felt greatly blessed to be able to be a part of that program as I felt it was a blessing in disguise from God.

Some of the students gave the following feedback on the programme.

                                          R. Dazron Lalriliana Darlong from Class VIII said that “My experience in the orphanage house was nice but I deeply felt for the children who were there
without their parents. It was a sad thing to realize that they were living in the orphanage because their parents had passed away or even left them alone
long time ago leaving them behind with no one to take care of them. I am sure that whenever they see other children visit them, they would surely
remember their parents and would think that if they had their parents, they could possibly have been in our place. We sang songs and danced to
encourage them and to stretch our hands of friendship towards them, to let them know that we care. They too sang a song for us in three languages
which really touched our hearts as soon as they started singing. The song was “We shall overcome”. After the short program, we distributed sweets
                 Sir. Rintu Das
among everyone present there and cheering them, we bid them goodbye. I believe our visit was a blessing to the orphans and at the same time a
realization for us all about how fortunate we are in our own home under our parents’ protection and care. We should never forget to thank God and our
parents for everything they are to us and do for us.”

Sagnik Soni from Class VIII shared that “It was very beautiful day. Me along with my senior and junior brothers and sisters went for the program at Ramkrishna

Abhenanda Mission. It was very clean and a pleasant place. We performed songs and dance to entertain them. They too entertained us with their
                                                   melodious voice.”

Rikshita pal from class X told that “We performed many cultural activities there, including group song, group dance etc. we also donated some clothes for the
children and distributed sweets and some fruits. we spent about four hours chatting with the children. The children were very kind to us. They even
sang a song. We were so engrossed in the activities that we did not even realize how time passed. It was a great experience and I wish to do this
activities many more and help the needy children and give them enjoyment. I hope our visit made them happy.”

Barna Debnath from class VIII shared her experience at Avenanandha Asram as following. “We were very friendly with them. The place was very nice and I
like it very much. But the most sadful things I notice is that the children who lives there they don't have their parents. We have tried to make them
happy and we took some fruits, sweets, some old dress for them and also we gave them some pen, pencil, and drawing copy. On that time, they were
very happy. It was nice. They always carry happiness in their face. For me it was a memorable day. And also it was a beautiful experience. I am very
                                                   graceful to attend this programme.”
