The Alumni association of Holy Cross School Kumarghat was
formed on 27th October, 2023 Friday by the initiative of
HCSK
Fr. Jilson Tom CSC, the former principal, in the presence of
Alumni Association Fr. J. Sahaya Lourdu Raj CSC, the present principal. There were
22 enthusiastic former students present for the first Alumni
meeting from all the six batches, along with Sir Tapan, the PRO,
Sir Sourabh, Miss Sangi, Miss Sukjai, Sir Apu and few other
staff members. The following are the students present for the

first alumni meeting.

First and foremost, Fr. Lourdu welcomed Fr. Jilson and ex-
students to the first meet and then followed by introducing
themselves and their current studies. Fr. Jilson spoke about the

importance of Alumni association and explained to them how
and what to do in the future as to stay connected with the school.
Ms. Sukjai Khiram
He too spoke about the benefits of having alumni association
and how the students and others will benefit by this effort.

An election was conducted and the representatives were elected for the post of President –

Parthib Roy, Vice President – Priyanka Debroy and Secretary - Jonak Saha for the term of
one year.

Sir Tapan was elected as a mentor of the association.

Students’ phone numbers were collected to form a WhatsApp group. Thanks to the efforts of
the able leaders, presently there are 194 members in the alumni association Members. The
members have decided to come together once in a year during puja vacation. The meeting
ended by having snacks together.

The forming of association was officially declared on 10th November 2023 during the
Parents Day and as a token of appreciation the president and the vice president were
felicitated with a risha and a gift.
