Skill Development Skill development is a critical component of a student's journey toward personal and professional success. Developing skills
is important because it allows students to improve attributes and qualities vital to effective workplace performance. By
& developing these skills, they can also begin their path to personal development, which can help them maximize their potential

and achieve career goals in record time.
Science Club's

Activities Keeping these in mind, I as a Science Teacher conducted the following classroom and laboratory activities in last five
months along with students of Class VII and VIII.

1. Article writing competition on Chemistry: An article writing competition on various topics of

chemistry was conducted among the students of Class VIII on 22 July, 2023.

2. Extempore speech competition on science and technology: An extempore speech
competition was conducted among the students of class VII and VIII on various topics
of Science and Technology within their prescribed syllabus on 20 September, 2023.

Sir. APU KUMAR ROY 3. Quiz competition on GK: A quiz competition on GK was conducted

among the students of class VIII within their prescribed syllabus on 25
August, 2023.

4. Seminar on skill development: A seminar on skill development was hosted among
the members of science club on 29 August, 2023.

5. Plant sapling collection: Plant sapling were collected from the students
of class VIII as a part of EVS on 8 December, 2023.

6. Science lab activities:-
i) Friction created by smooth and rough surface.
iii) Microorganisms present on various food items.
iii) Preparing a slide for practical.
iv) Importance of oxygen for combustion.
