On 21 November, 2022, our school organised an important
session on Motivational and Career Guidance for the students of
class 9 and 10. We were joined by the students of Holy Cross
School, Chailengta. Two professional motivational speakers
namely Mr. A. Anbuvanan and Mrs. D. Nalini from Chennai were
BIPASHA DEB the resource persons. It was a very good and enriching session
CLASS X
because most of us became aware of how to choose our career.

The Theme of the Session was “ Career Guidance Workshop”. And the main
objectives were - how to approach Public Exam, If ethics / Values play a major
role in life? And Where do I stand? Both the resource persons presented the
classes so well that we all enjoyed and had a good interaction with them.

Mr. A. Anbuvanan talked about useful tips for exam preparation, how to
approach Board Exam, what should be done on the day of exam and after the
exam. He suggested so many tips that could be followed to do well in the exam.
They also talked about the role of ethics and values in our lives. Mr A Anbuvanan
said that ethics and values play a vital role in the development of a person. So to
have a good values, he said that all tobacco related products shpuld be avoided as
they are dangerous for life. He also said that drugs have very bad effects on the
behaviour of persons which result in loss of self control.

Mr. A.Anbuvanan explained that Career Guidance is a guidance that is given to
understand oneself, world of work, courses and careers , careers alternatives,
back up plan and career preparation. They also talk about the career opportunities
that are available and how to choose them. Towards the end of the session there
was an activity where we were given some questions and that we were asked to
identify the different potentials and find out to which category each one belongs.

Overall ,it was a very beneficial session and I thank our principal Fr. Lourdu for
organosing such kind of workshop for us students ,where we can open up
ourselves and know more about ourselves and decide what is the best for us.
I also thank our resource persons for beautifully and actively taking the session
and giving us valuable tips to proceed with our careers.
